The issue

One of our clients, a global IT services organisation was growing rapidly through both organic and acquisition-based strategies.
They found that integrating the IT of multiple acquisitions occurring in rapid succession led to gaps within common business processes and the potential for security processes to become bottle necks in customer service.
They needed employees from acquired organisations to be able to integrate with their existing teams and share tool sets as quickly as possible.

The Solution

Using Active directory federation and custom-built IT service modules, Expertware were able to streamline the management of multiple directories and identity management systems ensuring that secure access and collaboration was possible across discrete IT architectures, providing the time needed for larger back-end integration projects to be completed whilst enabling the flexibility required by the client to deliver service excellence as they grew.

The Result

Following the introduction of the new modules the client was able to quickly absorb new acquisitions into a common control solution that ensured end to end visibility of joined up services across existing and acquired services, allowing time for integration decisions to be made based on real world data.
